little lambs with bright lights with Jesus

He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.
2 Corinthians 1:4 (MSG)

Foundational Scriptures Upon Which We Stand

Guided by the light of the Holy Spirit and the presence of Jesus who shepherds us, we search for our fellow lambs who are lost, and when we have found a lost lamb, we gently guide him or her to the saving grace and healing help that is found only in Jesus, who is our Good Shepherd; the Way, the Truth, and the Life. When one of our fellow lambs finds Jesus, we rejoice with Him that one more person is in God’s family.

In addition to the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:16-20,1 the Little Lambs with Bright Lights stand on the following passages to firmly root in scripture the focus of this Ministry.

“He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.” 2 Corinthians 1:4 (MSG)

“The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him [Jesus]. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written: ‘“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.’” He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. All eyes in the synagogue looked at him intently. Then he began to speak to them. ‘The Scripture you’ve just heard has been fulfilled this very day!’” Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬-‭21‬ (NLT‬‬)2

“So he [Jesus] told them this parable: ‘What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, “Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.” Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.’” Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭3‬-‭4‬, ‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭(ESV‬‬)3

Prophesy about Jesus: “I chose you to bring justice, and I am here at your side. I selected you and sent you to bring light and my promise of hope to the nations. You will give sight to the blind; you will set prisoners free from dark dungeons.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭42‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭(CEV‬‬)

“My dear friends, if you know people who have wandered off from God’s truth, don’t write them off. Go after them. Get them back and you will have rescued precious lives from destruction and prevented an epidemic of wandering away from God.” James‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭(MSG‬‬)4

“No more gloom for those who are in distress. … Those who walked in darkness have seen a radiant light shining upon them. They once lived in the shadows of death, but now a glorious light has dawned! Lord, you have multiplied the nation and given them overwhelming joy! They are ecstatic in your presence and rejoice like those who bring in a great harvest and those who divide up the spoils of victory! For you have broken the chains that have bound your people and lifted off the heavy bar across their shoulders, the rod the oppressor used against them. You have shattered all their bondage[.]” Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭(TPT‬‬)5

“And they have conquered him [Satan] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.” Revelation‬ ‭12‬:‭11‬ ‭(ESV‬‬)

“All you people who worship God, come and I will tell you what he has done for me.” Psalm 66:16 (ERV)

“Give me your lantern and compass, give me a map, so I can find my way to the sacred mountain, to the place of your presence[.]” Psalm 43:3 (MSG)

1Great Commission cross-references: Mark 16:14-18; Luke 24:36-49; John 20:19-23; and Acts 1:6-8.

2Isaiah’s prophesy about Jesus: “The Sovereign Lord has filled me with his Spirit. He has chosen me and sent me to bring good news to the poor, to heal the broken-hearted, to announce release to captives and freedom to those in prison. He has sent me to proclaim That the time has come When the Lord will save his people and defeat their enemies. He has sent me to comfort all who mourn, to give to those who mourn in Zion Joy and gladness instead of grief, A song of praise instead of sorrow. They will be like trees That the Lord himself has planted. They will all do what is right, And God will be praised for what he has done.” Isaiah‬ ‭61‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭(GNT‬‬)‭‭

3(Jesus speaking) “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭12‬-‭14‬ ‭(ESV‬‬)‭‭

4ALTERNATE VERSION: “My dear brothers and sisters, if someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back, you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back from wandering will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.” James‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)‭‭

5ALTERNATE VERSION: “Nevertheless, that time of darkness and despair will not go on forever. … The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine. … They will rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest and like warriors dividing the plunder. For you will break the yoke of their slavery and lift the heavy burden from their shoulders. You will break the oppressor’s rod, just as you did when you destroyed the army of Midian.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)‭‭

This Ministry is dedicated to the ministry founders’ older twin sisters, Anna-Maree (1973-2021) and Caroline, who suffer(ed) terribly with bipolar disorder, sexual abuse trauma inflicted at a very young age, and brain damage from oxygen deprivation at birth. Anna-Maree’s love and concern for the souls of all people, no matter what others thought of her, inspired this Ministry’s name. She was the first Little Lamb with a Bright Light..
